I think the blend is going to depend on the teacher, the class, and the school. Too much technology is going to take away from what I think a true art classroom experience should be. Balance is the key to making all this work.
I love the idea of teaching art online and I believe that there is a place and purpose for it but I feel that there needs to be a traditional setting for most visual art classrooms. Art is hands on. You can teach art through an online virtual classroom, but there is a social, in-person feel that should not be forgotten. I loved my ceramics studio experience while a student in high school and collage. The more traditional methods of making art need to be realized. It is hard to imagine making ceramic art without the studio resources and real life experience....
